DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SIGN AND SYMPTOM
Symptom is what the patient feels or notices. it is subjective in nature. It is a characteristic of a disease.
Example - chills, shivering, nausea, vertigo etc.
Sign is what the doctor can measure or detect. It is objective in nature. It is a definitive indicator of a specific disease.
Example - high temp, rapid pulse, low BP, open wound etc.Symptom is what the patient feels or notices. it is subjective in nature. It is a characteristic of a disease.
